Body Palmistry
Fate is broken My horse is dead, again
Trace the intricate ornament– the bloodlines of his body
My bracelets are scar tissue rings without moons
The wrong-winged sparrow writes her name upside down
a silent flight across a wreath of her own fallen feathers
The pattern is in forgiving
Everyone ever lost is spiriting I am spiriting
into a constellation of knots I wear my prayer
A sentence a delicate as lungs
